The iOS inter-app audio connection system Audiobus SDK has become publicly available to developers. Elephantcandy has been beta-testing the system for a while now, and we released two Audiobus compatible apps so far: LiveFX and Level.24. Audiobus’ motto is “This changes everything”. We participated in the International Computer Music Conference with a presentation of Walk With Me, the geo-spatialized music app we made with dutch sound artists Strijbos & Van Rijswijk. ICMC was nice, always a good place to chat about oversampled oscillators and lock-free thread synchronisation, this time with Ljubljana’s dragon watching over our shoulder.
Elephantcandy teamed up with the University of Amsterdam’s Centre for Digital Humanities to collaborate on the Music Similarity project.
